When starting on DabLogic, a Solventless Hash company operated by Verde Natural, they had sparse branding elements, but no direction/consistency. I dove into the company's ethos, vision and beliefs to rebrand this company & put back in the right direction. The brand branched off of sacred religious beliefs and how hashish had been used throughout history. The large collection of symbols from all different religions and areas made the brand look chaotic.
The process of creating solventless hash has a vast history and many different religious influences. DabLogic has taken these old world methods and incorportated modern technology to bring you the products you see below. Instead of trying to combine all of the different cultural elements into one brand, I thought it was best to create our own "religious" world of hash.

VERDE NATURAL

I began with Verde Natural when they were in the middle of a rebrand, with only the new logo above to work with. I took this logo and the company's core beliefs to develop the look and feel of the brand. Since they were a "living soil" cannabis company, they wanted to portray the plant in its truest form. In this light, I decided to push for the strongest brand pillar to be sustainability. To help educate new consumers on cannabis and guide them in the right direction, we created an experience guide, developed using terpene data that was organized into 4 categories below. The final product had two categories in the sativa realm and two in the indica realm.

Re-stash jars & sustainable to-go packaging
RE-STASH JARS
To reduce the plastic waste in the cannabis industry, I worked with Re-Stash to design the child proof glass flower jars, shown above. They also have a rubber seal on the outside to prevent glass breaking. These jars were sold at the dispensaries along with a discount refill program.
SUSTAINABLE TO-GO PACKAGING
These are meant for the people that are not regular customers at Verde. I worked with Sana Packaging to design a package that was created out of hemp and easily recycled. We continued these efforts by making to-go bags out of recycled paper & a sustainable bag you could bring back to take your products home.
STORE SIGNS
During the rebrand, I ran the development of new signs for the dispensaries. I sourced and met with many sign manufactures to find the best quote and produce the best product.
GRATEFUL DEAD
During my time at Verde, I had the opportunity to present an opportunity to collaborate with the Grateful Dead on a line of products. I developed a marketing proposal for the band and branded it to represent how our two brands would work together.
I helped launch the Verde Natural brand in California. For the launch, I traveled to our grows in northern California and developed a "coming soon" video. This video was filmed and edited by myself.
SWAG
For Verde Natural's swag we wanted to create some fun yet subtle designs that still represented the culture well. The Verde brand's persona was to represent "the good life."
SOCIAL MEDIA
I managed the social media manager and developed designs for new strain drops. Throughout my time, I helped build a consistent, engaged audience. I photographed each strain & created typography to represent it's personality.
